All-Terrain Pipeline Internal Corrosion Protection Robot for Mountainous Pipeline Projects

2026-03-24 11:15:32

With the increasing number of water transmission and steel pipeline projects in mountainous areas, higher requirements are being placed on internal corrosion protection construction inside pipelines. Compared with conventional straight and flat pipelines, mountainous pipelines often involve steep slopes, frequent bends, and more complicated working conditions, which pose significant challenges to traditional pipeline internal coating equipment.

To address these difficulties, ZQY has successfully developed an All-Terrain Pipeline Internal Corrosion Protection Robot, specially designed for complex terrain applications and demanding internal anti-corrosion operations inside steel pipelines.

This robot is developed to meet the practical needs of projects where the terrain is highly variable and pipeline routes include large inclinations and multiple turning sections. In some mountainous applications, pipeline slopes may reach 60° to 80°, while certain turning angles may approach 90°. Under such conditions, standard robotic systems often struggle to maintain stable operation and coating quality. ZQY’s all-terrain solution is engineered specifically to overcome these limitations.

The robot is suitable for pipe diameters ranging from DN200 to DN700 and features variable diameter capability, allowing it to adapt to different pipeline sizes. It operates at AC220 voltage, with a travelling speed of 0–30 m/min, and can work up to 1000 meters deep inside the pipeline, significantly improving operational flexibility in long-distance internal coating projects.

One of the most notable strengths of this equipment is its outstanding terrain adaptability. The robot offers a climbing capacity of up to 90° (vertical) and a cornering ability of 5D 90°, enabling it to perform reliably in pipelines with steep inclinations and complex bends. This makes it particularly suitable for mountainous water pipelines and other special engineering environments where conventional internal coating systems cannot easily operate.

In addition, the system is compatible with all types of coatings, giving project owners more flexibility in material selection based on design standards and corrosion protection requirements. The robot is also equipped with a real-time 4-million-pixel HD camera system, ensuring clear visual monitoring and improving the accuracy and safety of internal operations.

The launch of this all-terrain pipeline internal corrosion protection robot further expands ZQY’s capabilities in specialized pipeline anti-corrosion equipment. It reflects the company’s continued commitment to solving complex project challenges through practical engineering innovation.

As infrastructure construction moves into more demanding environments, intelligent and terrain-adaptive pipeline robots will play an increasingly important role in improving construction efficiency, reducing labor intensity, and ensuring reliable coating quality. ZQY will continue to develop advanced internal pipeline anti-corrosion solutions for global customers in water transmission, energy, and industrial pipeline projects.
